Business growth and transformation powered by interim COO service
In this success story we share how Iceni partnered with the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) to transition from a start-up to a more sustainable business model.
ISCA’s challenge
ISCA operates as a member-based, non-profit organisation in Australia and New Zealand. Its primary objective is to facilitate sustainability in infrastructure projects. As ISCA underwent significant expansion, it recognised the need to transition from a start-up to a longer-lasting business model.
Our approach
Our approach focused on removing the barriers preventing the successful development of a more enduring business model. We addressed the key challenges presented by a rapidly growing sector by building strong stakeholder relationships.
Additionally, we provided project management services to the organisation during the transition phase. We were responsible for managing external client relationships and projects, while supporting the team in meeting their milestones and deliverables.
Offering additional capacity, capability and expertise allowed the ISCA team to concentrate on the changes taking place within the organisation.
Value-adds
Iceni's review of ISCA's operational environment provided a seamless transition to a stronger and more sustainable operating model.
Our review enabled ISCA to identify short-and-medium-term priorities, highlight areas for improvement and comprehensively map out internal processes to ensure clear understanding. As a result, the ISCA team were able to increase productivity to meet project milestones while adopting and implementing organisational change. Additionally, they were able to develop a clear outline of internal processes which can be used to onboard new staff.
Client outcome
ISCA experienced a transformed operational environment with prioritised key areas, allowing them to optimise resource allocation. Our expert advice ensured a smooth transition during organisational changes, resulting in successful stakeholder management and seamless adoption of new and efficient processes. The result was greater organisational clarity for ISCA and a refined operational setup, positively impacting their overall performance.
