Professional and ethical standards

Everyone who works with or on behalf of Iceni is expected to meet the same high standards of professional and ethical conduct. These expectations are embedded in our agreements with consultants, associates and collaborators and include:

Integrity and professional conduct
We act honestly, professionally and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and client requirements.

Competence and quality
We only undertake work where we have the appropriate capability and ensure the people engaged on each assignment have the skills and expertise required.

Confidentiality and information protection
We protect confidential and sensitive information and meet our obligations relating to privacy, information security and intellectual property.

Conflicts of interest
We identify and disclose actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest and ensure they are appropriately managed.

Responsible business practices
We expect those working with us to uphold responsible business practices, including compliance with modern slavery, anti-bribery and corruption, discrimination and other applicable legal and ethical obligations.

Responsible use of technology
We use technology responsibly, protect client information and maintain human judgement and accountability for the work we deliver.

Responsible use of AI

We use AI where it can help us do better work — but our people remain responsible for what we deliver.

We use AI to support activities such as research, analysis, testing ideas, bringing information together, and preparing and reviewing our work. It is a tool for our consultants, not a substitute for their expertise or professional judgement.

We consider confidentiality, privacy, security, intellectual property and the sensitivity of client information before using AI. AI-assisted work is reviewed and checked by our people, just like any other work we produce.

We do not use AI to make decisions on behalf of our clients. Where a client has specific requirements or restrictions regarding the use of AI, we follow them.
