Iceni was started with one simple goal -
to be different

In 2015, Georgina Legoe and Junitha Giles co-founded Iceni with the goal of doing business differently. Here’s their story.

We’re rising up

We realised that our opportunities to do our best work were limited by the status quo, so we decided it was time to rewrite the rules of the game.

We embarked on our Iceni partnership in 2015, taking inspiration in name and spirit from the mighty Boudica who led the Iceni tribe to fight Roman imperialism and cultural assimilation.

We’re taking action

We’ve built our business on two bedrock beliefs.

  • We all play a critical role in the wellbeing of Australian communities and our society at large.

  • Women offer huge potential for consultancy leadership for community, social and environmental change, but are held back by the way traditional outfits operate.

Supporting organisations to transition to a brighter future is where we can make a real difference. It’s our passion and life work.

We walk the talk

We’ve designed Iceni to be a better breed of business, one that’s incentivised by community, social and environmental outcomes.

What does it look like? Put simply, we don’t say yes to just anyone or anything. Instead, we take a principled approach, working with customers who share our values, working exclusively on for-purpose assignments that deliver positive social, economic and environmental outcomes, hiring values-driven people to deliver and giving back to the community through philanthropy.

For our clients it means greater and more ethical value for money, because, at the end of the day, we’re not profiteers - we’re just good people doing business better.
