Wendy recently joined Iceni and hit the ground running on a very busy project with the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE). Wendy is an experienced executive leader across philanthropic, advocacy and membership organisations. Skilled in corporate communications, management, community engagement, business development and strategic planning, she is a great asset to the Iceni tribe.
What are you enjoying most about working for Iceni?
I am really enjoying working alongside so many dynamic, intelligent and creative people and, most importantly, helping clients tackle complex challenges. I felt instantly at home at Iceni and I feel very fortunate to be a part of the tribe.
What superpowers will you bring to Iceni’s clients?
My son would say finding and fixing things! This superpower translates to my work with clients, I am a problem solver. By being innovative, inquisitive and informed I feel ready to come to help whenever needed. I am also a natural storyteller and am passionate about helping clients create a narrative that connects people with a vision, a purpose or a transformational outcome.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
As a relative newcomer to Canberra I am really enjoying exploring the city – galleries, museums, restaurants, walking tracks. I’m a tennis tragic and get to live vicariously through my son’s involvement. I also love film and the arts in general, good food and wine and I dream about riding my horse again. Nothing makes me happier than travelling, so I’m thrilled restrictions are lifting and I can dust off my passport.
It’s such a pleasure to have Wendy onboard.
